Assembling Your Tilt-Head Stand M ixer

T o Attach Bow l
1. T urn speed control to " O" .
2. Unplug stand mixer or disconnect
pow er.
3. Hold the locking lever in the UNLOCK
position and tilt motor head back.
4. Place bow l on bow l clamping plate.
5. T urn bow l gently in clockw ise
direction.
T o Remove Bow l
1. T urn speed control to " O" .
2. Unplug stand mixer or disconnect
pow er.
3. Hold the locking lever in the UNLOCK
position and tilt motor head back.
4. T urn bow l counterclockw ise.
T o Attach Flat Beater,
Wire Whip, or Dough Hook
1. T urn speed control to " O" .
2. Unplug stand mixer or disconnect
pow er.
3. Hold the locking lever in the UNLOCK
position and raise motor head.
4. Slip beater onto beater shaft and press
upw ard as far as possible.
5. T urn beater to right, hooking beater
over pin on shaft.
T o Remove Flat Beater,
Wire Whip, or Dough Hook
1. T urn speed control to " O" .
2. Unplug stand mixer or disconnect
pow er.
3. Hold the locking lever in the UNLOCK
position and raise motor head.
4. Press beater upw ard as far as possible
and turn left.
5. Pull beater from beater shaft.
T o Lock M otor Head
1. M ake sure motor head is completely
dow n.
2. Place locking lever in LOCK position.
3. Before mixing, test lock by attempting
to raise head.
T o Unlock M otor Head
1. Place lever in UNLOCK position.
NOTE:
M otor head should alw ays be kept
in LOCK position w hen using mixer.

T o Operate Speed Control
Plug mixer in proper electrical outlet.
Speed control lever should alw ays be
set on low est speed for starting, then
gradually moved to desired higher speed
to avoid splashing ingredients out of bow l.
