Beater To Bow L Clearance - KitchenAid 5KSM150PS Instructions Manual

Your Stand M ixer is adjusted at the factory so the flat beater just clears the bottom of
the bow l. If, for any reason, the flat beater hits the bottom of the bow l or is too far
aw ay from the bow l, you can correct clearance easily.
1. T urn speed control to " O" .
2. Unplug stand mixer or disconnect
pow er.
3. Lift motor head.
4. T urn screw (A) SLIGHTLY counter
clockw ise (left) to raise flat beater or
clockw ise (right) to low er flat beater.
5. M ake adjustment w ith flat beater, so it
just clears surface of bow l. If you over
adjust the screw, the bow l lock lever
may not lock into place.
NOTE:
When properly adjusted, the flat
beater w ill not strike on the bottom or
side of the bow l. If the flat beater or the
w ire w hip is so close that it strikes the
bottom of the bow l, coating may w ear off
the beater or w ires on w hip may w ear.
