NOTE:
• If you encounter any problem while using touchscreen input mirroring on your smartphone, disconnect and
reconnect the USB cable, uninstall and reinstall the app, or contact the app vendor for more information.
• This feature is supported on smartphones running Android 5.0 or above. If your smartphone supports touchscreen
input mirroring (Refer to page 13), in addition to display mirroring, you can use the touchscreen on the CarLink to
mirror inputs to your smart phone after setting up Bluetooth on your smartphone and restarting touchscreen input
mirroring. If your smartphone does not support touchscreen input mirroring, only the display will be mirrored. Refer
to page 37 for more details on setting up Bluetooth on your smartphone.
• Touchscreen input mirroring is not supported on iOS devices, only display and audio mirroring via HDMI is supported.
Compatible iOS devices include iPhone 5, iPhone 5S, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6S, iPhone 6S Plus, iPhone SE,
iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, iPad Air, iPad Mini, and iPad Mini 4.
• During mirroring, press the home button on the CarLink to return to the CarLink home screen, or press the home
button on your smartphone to return to the most recent screen in the CarLink app.
• During mirroring, touchscreen input experience on the CarLink touchscreen may vary to that on the smartphone.
• If touchscreen input mirroring fails, try updating your smartphone to the latest firmware. Touchscreen input mirroring
may not be supported on some smartphones due to software variation across different manufacturers. Please refer
to the Touchscreen mirroring compatible smartphones table for more information. If your smartphone supports
touchscreen input mirroring and is already updated to the latest firmware but still fails to mirror touchscreen inputs,
contact your smartphone manufacturer for more assistance.
