5. Slide the diskette drive or card reader into the drive bay until it snaps into position. See "Locating
internal components" on page 7.

6. Connect the diskette drive cable to the diskette drive connector on the system board and then connect
the power cable to the diskette drive. If you are installing a card reader, connect it to the card reader
connector on the system board. See "Identifying parts on the system board" on page 8.
7. Replace the front bezel.

Installing a hard disk drive in bay 4
This section provides instructions on how to install a hard disk drive in bay 4.
Notes:
• You can install a combination of SATA and SAS hard disk drives within the same computer. However,
SATA and SAS hard disk drives cannot be installed within the same RAID array. All drives should be
connected to the SAS controller card.
• Make sure that you have a SAS adapter card installed in your computer before you install a SAS hard
disk drive.
