RD1 Functionality (cont.)
G
If for example, a large leak should occur, the unit has got a flood alarm built in. If the
refrigerant level increases above the 2200ppm level for more than 10 seconds, then
the system assumes that there is a large leak and a High Level Alarm will be raised
immediately. The unit will function as described in the previous paragraph, with the
exception of the Low Level and High Level LED's will flash.
G
The system is also protected against sensor failure or accidental break of the remote
sensor cable. If the system detects a sensor failure or cable break, then the system will
wait for 1 minute. If the fault has not cleared in that time, the Detector Active LED is
extinguished and the Low Level Alarm LED is lit. A fault code (B5) will also be
generated and sent to all Toshiba Controllers attached. However if the fault is not
remedied within 4 hours the Low Level Alarm LED is extinguished (the fault code will
still be generated). The alarm relay (Shutdown LED will light) will open circuit, which
can be connected to drive solenoid isolation valves.
G
An operation matrix is shown below, detailing the LED status, and which type of reset
is required if an alarm is triggered.
