The Ethernet and FC switching planes of the CX916 are physically isolated from each other and work independently. The CX916 is installed in a rear slot of the E9000 chassis and is connected to compute nodes and management modules through the chassis midplane. It exchanges internal data packets and control and management packets through high-speed data transmission.
