Freezer box
Switch the freezer on about 4 hours before the first food is
placed inside it.

Nutritional science has established that a temperature of
-18° C
or below is necessary for long-term food storage.
Turn temperature control® with a suitable coin.
Position 1

Please remember that the actual temperature inside the
freezer will depend on the ambient temperature where it is
set up, the number of times the door is opened and amount of
food inside.
Superfrost system
The temperature needed for freezing fresh food is obtained
with the Superfrost system . To switch on the Superfrost
system, press the Superfrost button®. The yellow Superfrost
lamp will come on.
To switch off the Superfrost system, press the Superfrost
button® again. The yellow Superfrost lamp will go out.
Telltale and warning lamps
The green mains supply lamp
®
comes on when the freezer is correctly connected to the
mains power supply and switched on .
If the green mains supply lamp goes out, first check whether
the bulb has blown. The bulb needs replacement if only the
yellow Superfrost lamp comes on when the Superfrost
system button is pressed. If, on the other hand, the yellow
Superfrost lamp does not come on either, check whether:
e
the freezer is switched on
e
the fuse in the supply circuit is intact.
If you discover a fault in this respect which you are unable to
put right yourself, always call in a qualified electrician.
Red alarm lamp
CD
This comes on when it is not sufficiently cold inside the
freezer.
• This will always be the case just after the freezer has been
switched on .
e
It may also be the case just after placing fairly large quanti-
ties of fresh food in the freezer.
e
It will occur if the temperature control is moved to a much
lower temperature than the previous setting .
If any of the above situations apply, the freezer is still in proper
working order. The red alarm lamp will go out as soon ·as the
temperature inside the freezer has dropped to the correct
level.

If the red alarm light comes on during regular operation of the
freezer, check:
e
whether the door is properly closed
e
whether there was a lengthly power failure recently.
If neither situation applies, you should consult the next ser-
vice agent without delay.

side wall, next to the vegetable bins.
Yellow Superfrost lamp
®
This comes on when the Superfrost system has been
selected.
