• Check the cables (serial and TTL) to make sure they are seated firmly in both devices.
• Check the TTL trigger.

Treadmill/Ergometer Does Not Move

If the connected treadmill or ergometer does not move during the test, do the
following:
• Verify the correct protocol for the device is being used.
• Check the cables (serial and TTL) to make sure they are seated firmly in both devices.
• Check the input and out settings.
• Check the Emergency Stop switch.

System Errors

The following table lists symptoms of some common system errors you may
experience, identifies possible causes for those errors, and suggests some corrective
actions you can take.
If the corrective actions do not resolve the errors, contact GE Healthcare Technical
Support or an authorized third-party service provider.

Cause
No battery is installed.
The battery charge is low.
The writer door is open.
The battery is completely
discharged.
The battery is completely
discharged, or the Automatic
Shutdown feature is enabled.
Electrode(s) are disconnected.
Modem may not be connected. If
using the wireless option, the client
bridge may not be connected.
(Wireless option only) The MAC
5500 unit is not within range of an
access point.
Device Password has been
changed or has not been
adequately communicated to the
staff.

Troubleshooting
Solution
Install a battery and connect the
unit to an AC outlet to charge the
battery.
Connect the unit to an AC outlet to
charge the battery.
Close the writer door.
Connect the unit to an AC outlet to
charge the battery.
Connect the system to an AC wall
outlet to charge the battery, or
power on the system.
Reconnect the electrode(s).
Connect the modem or client
bridge and retry.
Relocate the unit within range
of an access point and retry
transmission.
Override the Device Password
prompt by pressing the following
keys at the same time:
