6.7.2 Central heating settings - Outdoor temperature or Room
temperature compensated control
The pump operation when used with a HIU unit does not need to be
optimised and the Pump economy mode should be disabled.
▶ Enter the Service menu and navigate through the menus and select
the Heating settings menu.
▶ Navigate through the Heating settings and select Heating circuit 1
▶ Set Pump economy mode to No.
Heating circuit 1:
Parameter Description
Pump economy mode ▶ Optimised pump operation for the heat
source.
– Yes = Enabled
– No = Disabled
Default value is Yes.

Outdoor temperature or Room temperature compensated control
Compensated control modulates the central heating flow temperature
via the central heating pump and control valve position to control the
required flow of heated water into the system.
The default central heating room temperature control is Weather-
compensated but can be set to Room temperature-dependent.
▶ Enter the Service menu and navigate through the menus and select
the Heating settings menu.
▶ Navigate through the Heating settings and select Heating circuit 1.
▶ Navigate through the Heating circuit 1 and select Control type.
▶ Set Control type to Room temperature-dependent.
Heating circuit 1:
Parameter Description
Control type ▶ Central heating control method.
– Weather-compensated
– Outside temp. with base point
– Room-temperature-dependent
– Room temperature output
– Single room-dependent
Default value is Weather-compensated.

Heat Interface Unit settings

▶ Enter the Service menu and navigate through the menus and select
the Heat Interface Unit settings menu.
▶ Navigate through the Heat Interface Unit settings and select the
parameter required.
▶ Adjust the parameter as required.
Heat Interface Unit
settings: Parameter Description
Set return District return temperature set point.

▶ Range from 0 - 90 ( °C)
Default value is 50 °C
Min. contr. valve off Minimum CH delay time, (to avoid control
time valve oscillations).
▶ Range from 0 - 60 minutes
Default value is 3 minutes.
Calibrate control valve Calibration DHW/CH control valve via
controller.
▶ Select either DHW or CH
– Off = Normal operation
– On = Calibrate valve
Once On has been selected the calibration
starts and the value returns to Off.

Electronic by-pass function setup

DHW circulation for electronic by-pass function
Check that the DHW circulation pump is enabled.
▶ Enter the Service menu and navigate through the menus and select
the DHW settings menu.
▶ Navigate through the DHW settings and select DHW system I menu.
▶ Navigate through the DHW system I and select DHW circulation
pump.
▶ Ensure that the DHW circulation pump is set to On.
DHW settings:
Parameter Description
DHW circulation pump ▶ Control of DHW circulation pump by heat
source.
– Off = Disabled
– On = Enabled
Default value is On.

set the DHW circ.pmp op.mode.
▶ Navigate through the DHW system I and select DHW circ.pmp
op.mode.
▶ Set DHW circ.pmp op.mode to On.
