Interfaces

The WS 400-30/WS 400-50 flexible operator panels have one parallel and two serial interfaces
(20mA and RS 232). The serial and the parallel interfaces can be assigned at the same time.
Seven bits and the strobe signal are used to transmit the key codes. In the case of GRACIS,
eight bits and one strobe signal are used. The parallel interface shares a connector with the
20mA interface.

Because of the short connecting cable, the keypad expansion unit must be set up directly
below the monitor.
