1. Mounting pads
22. Insert a cable tie through each of the plastic
mounting pads.
23. Insert the end of the harness through the hole in the
operator platform and secure it with the cable ties.
Note: Check switch operation and reverse their
location in control console if they don't operate in
direction shown on decals. Tighten toggle switch
nuts.
24. Reinstall the control panel cover.
25. Connect the negative battery cable to the battery.
For Models 30446, 30447, 30448 and
30449
1. Position the machine on a level surface, lower the
cutting unit, stop the engine, engage the parking
brake and remove the key from the ignition.
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable from the
battery.
3. Remove the hydraulic line cover from the base of the
steering tower cover (Figure 8).
4. Remove the steering tower cover from the steering
tower (Figure 8).

5. From inside the steering tower, press the plug out of
the hole in the top of the tower (Figure 9).

6. Press the switch into the control panel mounting
hole as shown in Figure 9.
7. Clean the tower mounting surface around the switch.
Apply the control decal next to switch (Figure 9).
8. Route the switch connector end of harness up
through the platform and tower to the switch. Plug
the connector into the switch.
Note: Route the harness away from any hot or
rotating components and avoid any possible pinch
points.
9. Reinstall the steering tower cover and hydraulic line
cover.
