7. Insert the SAS5EADD upgrade DOS utility into the host system floppy or

CD/DVD drive.

8. Power off all hosts connected to the PowerVault MD3000 array. Power off the

PowerVault MD3000 followed by any attached PowerVault MD1000 systems.

9. Power on the host system and allow it to boot to the SAS5EADD upgrade DOS

utility.

10. Take note of the new SAS Address for each SAS 5/E Adapter to be updated.

11. Repeat step 9 for all host systems connected to the PowerVault MD3000.

12. Power on any PowerVault MD1000 systems. Power on any PowerVault

MD3000 systems.

13. Remove the SAS5EADD utility and reboot the system, allowing it to boot to

the operating system as normal.

14. Launch the Modular Disk Storage Manager application and choose the Add

New Storage Array using the Automatic option. If a host is not found use

the Manual option to connect to the PowerVault MD3000 system.
