The satellite dish antenna and a DISH Network 222k satellite receiver must be installed and operating before you can proceed to set up the HCS7720. LG recommends that the system be professionally installed. Check the following items before you begin HCS7720 installation and setup procedures. -

HCS7720 Product Description The HCS7720 is one of the LG CodePlus™ series transcoder cards. Pairing an HCS7720 card in the appropriate CodePlus card frame with a DISH Network ViP 222k satellite receiver will provide one program of DISH Network content. -

Configuration Options The HCS7720 contains several internal registers for different configuration options. There are two methods available for configuration purposes: • Service Port Method • Controller Card Method This document describes configuration procedures using the Service Port Method, which requires that you connect a PC directly to the transcoder Service Port.
