Controls
Become familiar with all the controls before you start the
engine and operate the machine.
Hopper Latch
The hopper, mounted on the side of the machine, swings
down for machine operation. The revolving blades mounted
on a flywheel behind the hopper turn branches fed into the
hopper into chips. The chipper can chip branches and vines
ranging in size up to 6 inches (15 cm) in diameter and up
to 3 feet (1 meter) in length.
To release the hopper or hopper latch (Figure 4), pull on
the handle and rotate it up or down to engage the latch pin
behind the stop.
Pull hopper down to open.
