12. Alignment
Measuring
Instrument
Adjustment To merge the focus point projected from CRT with the center axis of the light
purpose
projected.
Symptom when
Poor sharpness of picture at the time of incorrect brightness.

Note : This adjustment should be performed after adjustment 4 (Centering)
before adjustment 6 (Focus).
Test Point
1. Supply a Crosshatch signal (No.13).
2. Overlap catches for each ring magnet to minimize the magnetic field. (Fig.
1)
External Trigger
Note :
Perform alignments for all colors ; Red, Green, and Blue per color in
1-:cM:-e_a_s_u_re_m...:.c:.e_n.,..t + - - - - - - - - - - - 1 l
sequence. Perform adjustments by outputting 2 colors which are the
Range
colors to actually be adjusted and the color for marker.

catches are overlapped is the

3. Turn the Focus controls of VA-FOCUS to repeat the halo (turn left-wise) and
blooming (turn right-wise).
Note : The VA-FOCUS is installed at the left bottom of the screen observing
from the front.
4. Observe the middle of the crosshatch signal and confirm that it is extended
(Defocus) as shown in Fig. 2.
5.
Adjust the 2-Pole Magnet (rotation, opening angle) and repeat the adjustments
from the step 3 until it extends in the same direction by moving in the
extending direction of halo when there is an extension in the different direction.
Note : Return to the center with a Centering Magnet to check the step 3 when it
is off the center.
