    • Windows 10/Windows 8.x: Click EPSON_PJ_UD when it appears on the desktop, then select Run EMP_UDSE.EXE in the dialog box that appears to install the Epson USB Display software. • Windows 7/Windows Vista: Select Run EMP_UDSE.EXE in the dialog box that appears to install the Epson USB Display software.

    1. If necessary, disconnect your computer's monitor cable. 2. Connect the VGA computer cable to your computer's monitor port. 3. Connect the other end to the Computer port on the projector. 4. Tighten the screws on the VGA connector. 5. Connect an audio cable to your laptop's headphone or audio out jack, or your desktop's speaker or audio out port.

    Connecting to an HDMI Video Source If your video source has an HDMI port, you can connect it to the projector using an optional HDMI cable. The HDMI connection provides the best image quality. Caution: Do not turn on the video source before connecting it to the projector. Doing so could damage the projector.

    USB Device Projection You can project images and other content without using a computer or video device by connecting any of these devices to your projector: • USB flash drive • Digital camera or smartphone • USB hard drive Note: Digital cameras or smartphones must be USB-mounted devices, not TWAIN-compliant devices, and must be USB Mass Storage Class-compliant.

    Registering a Digital Certificate on the Projector Wireless Network Projection You can project over a wireless network (not supported on EX3280/VS260). To do this, you must set up your projector and computer for wireless projection. Note: The Epson 802.11b/g/n wireless LAN module is optional for EX5280/EX9230. The wireless module is built-in for EX7280/EX9240.

    Installing the Wireless LAN Module To use the projector over a wireless network, install the Epson 802.11b/g/n wireless LAN module in the projector (EX5280/EX9230). Do not install any other type of wireless module. Note: The wireless LAN module is not included with your projector and is optional.

The light on the wireless LAN module turns on when the module is installed and operating. The light flashes when the module is communicating over the network.
