Using your Philips Lumea

Skin tone sensor

Attachments
When you use Lumea 'or the 'irst time or a'ter recent tannin', per'orm a skin
test on each area to be treated. The skin test is necessary to check your
skin's reaction to the treatment and to determine the correct li'ht intensity
settin' 'or each body area.
1 Choose an area close to the area you intend to treat.
2 Turn on the device. Make sure you select settin' 1.
3 Put the device a'ainst your skin and press the 'lash button to release a
'lash.
4 Slide the device over the skin to the next area to be treated.
5 Increase the settin' by one level, apply a 'lash and slide the device to the
next area. Repeat this 'or all levels within the recommended ran'e 'or
your skin type.
6 A'ter the skin test, wait 24 hours and check your skin 'or any reaction. I'
your skin shows reactions, choose the hi'hest settin' that did not result
in any skin reaction 'or subsequent use.
For extra sa'ety the inte'rated skin tone sensor measures the skin tone at
the be'innin' o' each session and occasionally durin' the session. I' it
detects a skin tone that is too dark 'or treatment with Lumea, the device
automatically disables to prevent you 'rom developin' skin reactions. This
means that it does not emit pulses when you press the 'lash button.
Placin' and removin'
To place the attachment, simply snap it onto the li'ht exit window.
To remove the attachment, pull it o'' the li'ht exit window.
