Getting started

Before preparing water for consumption for the first time, you must first clean the kettle (3) to
remove dust and any residues from the packaging materials. Proceed as follows:
1. Open the lid (11) by pressing the lid release button (10) and rinse the kettle (3) with clean
water.
2. Fill the kettle (3) with drinking water up to the "1,7L MAX" mark.
3. Close the lid (11) by pressing down until it clicks into place and allow the water to boil once
(see next section "Boiling water") then pour it away.
Repeat steps 1 to 3 once more. The kettle (3) is then clean and disinfected. The kettle (3) is now
ready for use.

Boiling water

DANGER: Risk of electric shock
Keep the base (6) away from water. Otherwise there is a risk of lethal electric
shock.
WARNING
On the very first use, boil and pour away water twice (see previous section
"Getting started").
WARNING
Always use fresh drinking water. Discard any water left to stand in the
kettle (3) for longer than one hour.
Cord wrap
There is an integrated cord wrap on the
underside of the base (6). This enables
you to adjust the power cable (7) length
to suit your conditions.
When the kettle is not in use you can
reduce the cord length to a minimum here.
Unwind the power cable (7) underneath the base (6).
Place the base (6) on an even, non-slip and dry surface. Note that the power cable (7) must be
fed through one of the notches provided on the underside of the base (6) to ensure stable
positioning.
