The power consumption in ringing state depends on the number of RENs
connected to the line. The power consumption in off-hook state depends on the
loop resistance of the line. Please take the larger of the two values into account
when planning the power budget.
To facilitate the unit's heat dissipation, one of the two adjacent shelf slots
shall be unequipped if:
- both lines are provisioned and longer than 1500 ft, and
- it is expected to have both lines simultaneously off-hook over an
extended period of time, and
- the ambient temperature around the JungleMUX shelf is higher than
40°C.
