Changing the batteries / Troubleshooting
4. Note: If the scales do not appear to work,
check that the battery has been inserted
correctly and reinsert it if necessary.
Hand-held unit

1. Remove the battery cover
compartment in the direction of the arrow.
2. Remove the exhausted battery and dispose of
it as described in the section about "Disposal".
3. Place the new battery in the battery compart-
ment. Please note the polarity. The "+" symbol
must be visible on the top of the battery. Press
the battery gently downwards and push the
battery cover
back on to the battery com-

partment.
Note: When you insert the battery, make sure
that the contacts do not get bent.
4. Note: If the LC display
work, check that the batteries have been in-
serted correctly and reinsert them if necessary.
