SDTI interface
2k speed transfer mode
The 2k speed transfer mode can be established using
setup menu item No.653 (SDTI MODE). In this mode,
DVCPRO (25 Mbps) tapes can be played back at the
2k speed, and SDTI signals can be output at the 2k
speed.

Select 2X_P as the setup menu No.653 (SDTI
MODE) setting.
The 2X lamp flashes on the format display.
O This setup menu item is not displayed when the
525i system is used.

Select AUTO as the setup menu item No.013 (PB
FORMAT) setting.
If MANUAL has been selected, select 25M as the
setup menu item No.012 (SYS FORMAT) setting.

Insert a DVCPRO (25 Mbps) tape, and press the
PLAY button.
The unit plays back the tape at the 2k speed, and
outputs the SDTI signals at the 2k speed.
The 2X lamp now stops flashing, and lights.
<Notes>
O In the 2k speed transfer speed mode, the REC INH
lamp lights when a tape is inserted, and recording
operations are inhibited. The playback mode is
established and remains established, and no E-E
pictures are output.
O Playback operations are performed at the 1k speed
when a DV tape or DVCAM tape has been inserted.
The same applies for tapes with the 50 Mbps
playback format.
O Immediately after playing back a tape in the 2k
speed transfer mode, noise may be generated in the
video and audio signals.
