If the batteries have leaked, remove them to prevent
damage to the bathroom scales. You can remove leaked
battery fluid with a dry, absorbent cloth. Wear suitable
gloves for this purpose! Contact with skin must be avoided.
In the event of skin or eye contact with chemicals, they must
be immediately rinsed with generous amounts of water and
a doctor must be consulted.

6. Prior to use

6.1. Inserting/changing the batteries

To insert the batteries, remove the cover from the battery
compartment (4) on the bottom of the bathroom scales by
pressing the ribbed surface with your finger and then
sliding the cover off sideways.
Now insert the supplied batteries or change the batteries if
they are empty. Pay attention to the polarity (note + and -)
when inserting the batteries. The polarity is illustrated on
the batteries and in the battery compartment (4). Then
slide the cover back on the battery compartment (4) until it
snaps into place.
