• Do not use this unit with voltages other than the specified supply voltage as this may

• This scale unit is a class 1 laser product using a semiconductor laser with wavelength
of 790 nm and maximum output of 10 µW.
• The light transmitted from the detector head is hazardous to the human body, though
it is not visible to the human eye. For this reason, never open the cover of the
detector head assembly.
As there is a danger of light leakage, do not look into the scale insertion openings
while the power is on, and never try to insert objects other than the scale through the
scale insertion openings.
