Monitoring the audio

Audio recorded with the camera can be heard with a speaker or headphones.
Audio is not output from the speaker during shooting.
Setting the output audio
Sets the audio channel and the format to be output from the headphone terminal.

Select the [AUDIO] menu → [OUTPUT SETTINGS] → [AUDIO OUT].

Select the type of audio.
[CH1]: Outputs the signal for audio channel 1 as monaural.
[CH2]: Outputs the signal for audio channel 2 as monaural.
[CH1/2 STEREO]: Outputs the signals of the audio channel 1 and the audio channel 2 as stereo.
[CH1/2 MIX]: Mixes the signals of the audio channel 1 and the audio channel 2 and outputs as monaural.
[CH3]: Outputs the signal for audio channel 3 as monaural.
[CH4]: Outputs the signal for audio channel 4 as monaural.
[CH3/4 STEREO]: Outputs the signals of the audio channel 3 and the audio channel 4 as stereo.
[CH3/4 MIX]: Mixes the signals of the audio channel 3 and the audio channel 4 and outputs as monaural.

t The audio channel of the output audio (audio channel 1/2 and audio channel 3/4) is switched while the USER button to which [AUDIO MON SEL] is
assigned is pressed or the USER button icon is touched.
t If [AUDIO OUT] is assigned to the USER button, pressing the USER button switches the audio channel to output and format.
When [AUDIO] menu → [OUTPUT SETTINGS] → [AUDIO OUT] is set to [CH1]/[CH2]/[CH1/2 STEREO]/[CH1/2 MIX], toggles [CH1], [CH2], [CH1/2
STEREO], and [CH1/2 MIX] in order each time the USER button is pressed or the USER button icon is touched.
When [AUDIO] menu → [OUTPUT SETTINGS] → [AUDIO OUT] is set to [CH3]/[CH4]/[CH3/4 STEREO]/[CH3/4 MIX], toggles [CH3], [CH4], [CH3/4
STEREO], and [CH3/4 MIX] in order each time the USER button is pressed or the USER button icon is touched.

Confirming audio input setting

The setting for the audio input can be confirmed in the AUDIO screen of the mode check.
For details, refer to "Mode check display" (page 172).
