The AN 1 x features L ayer parameters in the VO ICE SCEN E
SETUP menu which let yo u detune the Uniso n o r Dual layers
when UN ISO N mo de o r DUAL mo de is selected, o r separate
the panning between the two layers when UN ISO N mo de,
DUAL mo de o r SPL IT mo de is selected. Fo r mo re info rmatio n,

playing a bo wed instrument (g lissando ), where the so und
is carried in a co ntinuo us g lide fro m o ne no te to the next,
thro ug h all the intermediate pitches.

The po rtamento is applied no t o nly to the AN 1 x's vo ice as
audio o utput fro m the internal to ne g enerato r, po rtamento
data is also o utput fro m the MIDI [O UT] terminal, which
means it can affect a vo ice o f an external to ne g enerato r
assig ned to the same MIDI channel as the AN 1 x, o r be
reco rded as Co ntro l Chang e data in an external MIDI
sequencer.

Pressing the [PO RT AMEN TO ] switch turns the po rtamento
o n o r o ff. Po rtamento o n/ o ff status is sto red as vo ice data.
PORTAMENTO
Pressing [PO RT AMEN TO ] o utputs a Co ntro l Chang e
messag e via the MIDI [O UT] terminal, which can be
reco rded as Co ntro l Chang e data in an external MIDI
sequencer.
Yo u can desig nate the assig nable Fo o tswitch to turn the
po rtamento o n and o ff by fo o t, using the UTIL ITY SETUP
Co ntro l functio n (see pag e 9 5 ).
