Searching for a desired program type
By specifying the type of program (genre) you w ant to listen to, the tuner automatically searches for a station w hich
is currently broadcasting a program of the specified type.
How ever, if a station is not preset by auto memory, "NO DATA" w ill flash instead of the program (genre) type and
PTY search is not available.
Set the reception band to FM . Preset RDS stations w ith the auto memory function.

Select w hile " PTY " is lit.
The desired program type can be selected
w ith the 4 or ¢ key from 29 types. Press
the key and release it w hen the desired type is
displayed.

When an RDS broadcast is received, the program type
is show n on the display. If no PTY data is available, or if
the station is not an RDS station, "NONE" is displayed.
