8.6 Protection of objects and prevention of
impacts
(With a connected safety profi le control strip and control unit control
strip.)
The impact and object protection is not a trap guard! Due to physical
reasons, "soft" obstacles are only recognized and evaluated poorly or
not recognized at all!
If an obstacle is recognized, the table movement is stopped and a return
movement is automatically initiated. If a table is moving downward and
runs into an obstacle, the obstacle is recognized and inclination or toppling
of the table is prevented.
Instructions for use:
• Approach/acceleration phase:
After starting a movement, obstacles can only be recognized after a short
stretch, once the nominal speed has been reached.
• Table construction:
Table tops and fi xtures must be fi rmly connected to the drive system. If
a table moves towards an obstacle with a loosely connected part (e.g. a
loosely fi tted table top), this can only be recognized poorly or not at all.
• Soft obstacles
Soft obstacles are all types of obstacles that initially yield during an
impact, as is the case with body parts, upholstered chairs, etc. Soft
obstacles can only be recognized poorly or not at all.
