LOCAT ION
The relay should be installed in a location that is clean, dry, free from dust,
and well lighted to facilitate inspection and testing.
M OUNTING
The relay should be mounted on a vertical surface. The outline and panel drilling
dimensions are shown in Figure
CONNECT IONS
The internal connections diagrams f or the relays are shown in Figures 9,
An elementary diagram of typical external connections is shown in Figure
11.
VISUAL INSPECTION
Remove the relay f rom its case and check that there are no broken or cracked
component parts, and that all screws are tight.
M ECHANICAL INSPECT ION
Recheck the seven adjustments detailed in the M ECHANICAL INSPECT ION section of
ACCEPTANCE TESTS.
Before placing a relay into service, the f ollowing mechanical adjustments should
be checked:
ANGLE-I M PEDANCE UNIT
There should be n o noticeble friction in the rotating structure of the unit.
