LOCAT ION

M OUNTING

VISUAL INSPECTION
Remove the relay f rom its case and check that there are no broken or cracked
component parts, and that all screws are tight.
M ECHANICAL INSPECT ION
Recheck the seven adjustments detailed in the M ECHANICAL INSPECT ION section of
ACCEPTANCE TESTS.
Before placing a relay into service, the f ollowing mechanical adjustments should
be checked:
ANGLE-I M PEDANCE UNIT
There should be n o noticeble friction in the rotating structure of the unit.

energized and in the vertical position.

and the top pivot locked in place by its set screw.
If the jewel should become cracked or dirty, the screw assembly can be removed
from the bottom of the unit and examined.
