Recover RCK3 VCI

As a result of a power failure or a communication error during a software update, the RCK3
VCI may become corrupted. You may see several symptoms such as error messages
directing you to go to RECOVERY mode or an inability to connect to a detected RCK3 VCI.
Recovery Procedure
The following procedure will place the RCK3 VCI in a RECOVER state.
1. Unpower the RCK3 VCI by removing the USB from the RCK3 VCI.
2. Remove the bottom boot of the RCK3 VCI.
3. Depress the reset tab on the RCK3 VCI.

4. While "reset tab" is depressed, apply power to the RCK3 VCI by connecting the USB
cable to the RCK3 VCI and to the PC.
5. Continue depressing the "reset tab" until all of the LEDs flash on and then off.
6. The RCK3 VCI Tool is now in a recoverable state and can be updated from the RCK3
PC application.
