Diving with the camcorder

6.8.1 Diving Mode

Diving Mode takes underwater conditions into account and automatically ad-
justs the white balance. Furthermore videos or photos can be recorded when
the LCD monitor (C) is closed; the camcorder is not switched off as in normal
mode. All other settings and functions remain unchanged.
To activate Diving Mode, press the Diving Mode button (N).

6.8.2 Important information

Watertightness
The camera is watertight to a maximum depth of 3 metres (IPX8).
Do not use the camera underwater for longer than 60 minutes to ensure
that it remains watertight.
This camera is only watertight when exposed to fresh water or salt water;
this does not apply to cleaning agents, chemicals or pool water etc., and
such liquids must be wiped off the device immediately.
Before opening the cover of the battery compartment (G) and the inter-
faces (O) it is essential to wait until the camera is completely dry. When
opening the covers, have an absorbent cloth to hand to remove water and
dirt from around the covers. Ensure that the cover faces downwards when
it is opened.
