2. Install the muffler onto the exhaust studs. Install the 2 nuts securing the
muffler to the exhaust studs. Torque the nuts to 29 N • m (21 ft-lb).

1. Park the machine on a level surface. Stop the engine, wait for all moving
parts to stop and remove the key.
2. Drain the fuel from the fuel tank into a suitable container.
Fuel is very flammable and explosive under some conditions. Do not
smoke or let flames or sparks in your work area.
3. Remove the shroud from the machine.
4. Engines equipped with an electric starter only, unwind the harness retainer
clip and remove the electric start wire from the harness retainer clip.
