Possible cause
If "CANNOT PLAY THIS
DEVICE" appears on the TV
screen, the files on a USB
device are not playable.
The connected USB device
may include files of different
types (MP3, WMA, WAV, JPEG,
ASF, DivX, MPEG1 or MPEG2).
Possible cause
A microphone is not connected
to the main unit.
The microphone mixing func-
tion is not activated.
The menu screen of a DVD
VIDEO, VCD, SVCD is dis-
played on the TV screen.
The singing time is less than 3
minutes.
Your voice is too small or the
sensitivity of the connected
microphone is low.
Possible solution
Check that the file types recorded
on the USB device are compatible
with this system.
Select "FILE TYPE". You can play
back only the files of the types
selected with "FILE TYPE".
If the main unit has read the file
before you make the "FILE TYPE"
setting, reset "FILE TYPE" to the
desired file type, and then discon-
nect the USB device and connect
it again.
Possible solution
Connect a microphone.
Activate the microphone mixing
function.
Start playback. The menu screen
disappears and the scoring func-
tion starts working.
To obtain a correct score, sing the
song completely.
Sing in a loud voice, adjust the
sensitivity if possible or replace the
microphone with one with a higher
sensitivity.
