Step 2E: Make Attendant Group Assignments on CIX

Select Station > Attendant Group (Program 404), then enter data for the FBs listed below:
p
FB00 – Enter 1 as the Attendant Group number (required). Other values are not available.
p
FB01 – Select Most Idle First (1) as the Call Distribution method (Only Most Idle First is
available) (required). Consoles will receive calls in rotation.
p
FB02 – Enter an alternative Attendant Destination for Position Busy, if desired (1~32
characters).
p
FB03 – Select the Attendant Overflow Time in minutes (default is OK).
p
FB04 – Enter an Overflow Destination for the Attendant group (1~32 characters)
(preferred). This overflow destination for a single Attendant or when all multiple Attendants
set overflow on.
p
FB05 – Enter the Attendant's Groups Voice Mail ID code.

Step 2F: Set Up LAN

1. Select System > IO Device > I/O Logical Tab (Program 803), enter the following to establish
one of the system ports for use as a LAN port:

FB00 – CSTA logical ports are 200~206. Choose the first available port. Also scroll down
and select "400 BLF" for 00 Logical Device No.
Note Port 207 is reserved for My Info Manager. Port 208 is reserved for Feature Flex.

FB01 – Choose LAN device connection. Assign a device port number. When
programming from a telephone, press Spkr to access this parameter.
Then enter a device port number.
Note If you change the LAN port, you must reset the CIX by performing a Power Cycle or Level 2
Reset.
2. Use Program 801 and the following FBs to assign the properties of each LAN port:

FB00 – Choose the device port number to be assigned. Use port assigned in above step
(Program 803, Device Port No.).

FB01 – Assign to be TCP (default).
p
FB02 – Assign the type to be Server (default).
p
FB03 – Asynchronous operation (default).
p
FB04 – Assign the port to be a server that is linked to the client (1100~1107
recommended). When you complete all Strata CIX programming, be sure to enter this
same port number in
version 3.0 or higher, enter "6000" as the 04 Server Port No. "6000" is the LAN port for
BLF numbers.
p
FB05 ~FB08 and FB10 ~FB11 – Leave at default values.
3. If the CIX telephone system is networked, use Program 656 to assign the network node. If the
CIX is not networked to another telephone system, skip this program.
p
FB01 – Assign a unique node number for your CIX. Enter zero for the Primary Overlap
Code.
