Maintenance and Troubleshooting
This chapter explains how to perform software upgrades. It also provides basic maintenance
procedures for the Strata CIX Attendant Directory Database.

Software Upgrade Procedure

This procedure is the same a fresh installation. Follow the steps listed under
Console Software" on page
If there is an existing earlier version of CIX Attendant software on the target machine, the installer
removes the old and installs the new software version onto the target machine. (This even
includes installing an IP version over a DKT version.)
If there is an existing software that is the same version as the release version, the installer prompts
you to Remove or Cancel the installed software.
If you select Cancel, the installer halts the process without changing the existing installed
software.
If you select OK, the installer removes the currently installed CIX Attendant software from the
target machine and installs the new version.
An upgrade maintains the directory database and all custom parameters.
