• NEC’s unique DLP based light engine offers true color reproduc- tion. • The SX10000 can accommodate any picture size from 80 to 500 inches (measured diagonally). • The SX10000 projects images with uniform brightness while colors remain true to their original source.

Connecting the Power Cable and Turning on the Projector Before you turn on your projector, ensure that the computer or video source is turned on and that your lens cap is removed. 1. Connect the supplied power cable to the projector.
About Startup Screen (Menu Language Select screen) When you first turn on the projector, you will get the Startup screen. This screen gives you the opportunity to select one of the seven menu languages: English, German, French, Italian, Spanish,Swedish and Japanese.

For this reason, the zoom buttons on the remote control and the projector cabinet are not available for HDTV, Video, S-Video, and SDI signals. Entry List Displays the list of the entry signals. Use the LM buttons on your re- mote control or the projector cabinet to select the signal and press the ENTER button on the remote control or the projector cabinet to project the image of the selected source.

Color Matrix First, select an appropriate color matrix for your input signal, either HDTV or SDTV. Then select an appropriate matrix type from B-Y/R- Y, Cb/Cr, Pb/Pr or IVX. NOTE: The Color Matrix feature is available for component video signal only. Y/C Delay (not available for RGB) Adjusts Y/C delay level.
Memory (storage) of each of these values will per- mit projection at an optimum condition upon signal switching. 1) Select "Projector Options" → "Setup" → "Page 4" → "Lens Memory" and then insert a check mark into the Lens Memory check box.

"Component" for a component video source such as a DVD player. Normally select "Auto" and the projector automatically detects a component signal. However there may be some compo- nent signals that the projector is unable to detect. If this is the case, select "Component". Sync Termination (RGB1/2) This functions is used to select the impedance of the sync signal.

Adjusting the Focus 1) Practice focusing Use the FOCUS (+) or (-) button on the projector or the remote control to increase the focus values or decrease the focus values to verify the accuracy of focusing. 2) Try optimizing defocus Use the FOCUS button (-) to decrease the focus values until pixel patterns are too blurry to be visible.
