Before You Begin

This installation guide provides instructions for installing the DPN-100 on your network. The D-Link
DPN-100 is a G.984.2 (GPON) Optical Network Terminal (ONT) with Small Form-Factor Pluggable (SFP)
packaging.
Check the antistatic wrist strap into the installation section.

Hardware Overview

Connector Description

SC/APC port SC/APC port for fiber services.

Bail lever Lever for removing the device from the socket.

Installation

Note: The DPN-100 is a static-sensitive device. Use an antistatic wrist strap (or equivalent) connected to
a grounded surface before opening and while installing the DPN-100.
Connecting the DPN-100
1. Remove the DPN-100 from its protective packaging.
2. Verify that the target socket is compatible. Note the SFP socket orientation - it may require the
DPN-100 to be turned upside-down for the correct insertion.
3. Check the following before attempting to insert the DPN-100 into the target SFP socket.
