Bit synchronization for sending

Synchronized multiplexing should be carried out with any data received from a number of
GIF200 units. Thereby, within the GIF200 unit, the transmission clock for the MUX should be
synchronized with the transmission signal in the C37.94 format. As the transmit/receive
circuit between the GRL200 IED and the GIF200 needs to run in parallel with an oscillator
(2048kHz) of the GIF200 unit, the oscillator is synchronized with the receiving data in the
ITU-T G.703 (64kbps).
Note that the GRL200 IED is forbidden to operate without a clock signal coming from
the GIF200 unit. That is, in the GRL200 IED, transmit and receive signals should be
synchronized with the oscillator within the GIF200 unit. Thus, the user should check to see
that the GRL200 IED needs to operate with the oscillator of the GIF200 unit†.
†Note: The user may be required to set On for the scheme switch [CH1_B.SYN] in the
GRL200 IED, which is to connect with the MUX through the GIF200 unit, provided
that the protection signaling module at C13 on the rear. For more information
about the communication with the MUX, see the section
