  • Page 8 Protecting the LCD panel and screen • Do not expose the LCD screen to direct sunlight when this product is not used. This may result in LCD screen malfunction due to the resulting high temperatures. • When using a mobile phone, keep the aerial of the mobile phone away from the LCD screen to prevent disruption of the video in the form of spots, coloured stripes, etc.
  • Page 9 Removing the front panel Pinch the top and bottom of its right side and pull the front panel out. Take care not pinch it too tightly or to drop it, and also avoid contact with water or other fluids to prevent permanent damage. Re-attaching the front panel Slide the front panel to the left.

    Parts and controls Main unit LCD screen Press to return to the previous track (chapter) or go to the next track (chapter). Press and hold to perform fast reverse or fast forwards. Press to answer or end a call. Volume/SRC/ Turn to adjust the volume.

  • Page 13 Setting the automatic open function To prevent the display from hitting the gearstick of an automatic vehicle when it is in the P (park) position, or when you do not wish the display to open/close automatically, you can set the automatic open function to manual mode. Press Touch then...
  • Page 14 • When adjusting the LCD panel angle, be sure to adjust from the flap menu. Forcibly adjusting the LCD panel by hand may damage it. Press and hold OPEN/CLOSE to display the flap menu. Touch (tilt down) or (tilt up) to adjust the LCD panel to an easily viewable angle.
  • Page 15 Press RESET with a pen tip or other pointed tools. Settings and recorded contents are reset to the factory settings. Remote control The remote control CD-R33 is sold separately. Starting up the unit Connect the Digital Radio tuner to the unit before starting it up (refer to the Installation Manual) otherwise an error message appears on the display.

    Bluetooth Bluetooth connection Turn on the Bluetooth function on the device. Press Touch then The Bluetooth screen appears. Touch [Connection]. Touch The unit starts to search for available devices, then displays them in the device list. Touch the Bluetooth device name. After the device is successfully registered, a Bluetooth connection is established by the system.

    Digital Radio tuner operations For improved Digital Radio reception, make sure a Digital Radio aerial with phantom power input (active type) is used. Pioneer recommends using AN-DAB1 (sold separately) or CA-AN-DAB.001 (sold separately). Current consumption of Digital Radio aerial should be 100 mA or less.

    Disc Inserting and ejecting a disc You can play a normal music CD, Video-CD, or DVD-Video using the built-in drive of this product. CAUTION Do not insert anything other than a disc into the disc-loading slot. Inserting a disc Insert a disc into the disc-loading slot. The source changes and then playback will start.

    Compressed files Inserting and ejecting media You can play compressed audio, compressed video, or still image files stored in a disc or an external storage device.
