Speaker options depend on
which model you purchase.
However, the JBL Platinum
Series are the standard
speakers that come with
most new Compaq Presario
monitors. You can use the
speakers freestanding or
mount them on the side of
the monitor. For more
information, see the
documentation that came
with the speakers.
To set up the speakers,
follow the directions on the
monitor's Quick Set-Up
poster. If you purchased
speakers separately, follow
the instructions included.
Did you know ...
You can plug a digital MP3
portable audio player into the
Audio-In port on the right side
of the speaker (on JBL
Platinum Series speakers).

To turn the speakers on or off, press
the Power button on the right side
of the speaker. You can adjust the
volume after the button pops out

Power Button—conveniently allows a quick power down when
not in use, or mutes the sound. Simply push the button so that it
pops out. The light indicates when the power is on.

Headphone Jack—allows you to connect most stereo
headphones for your personal listening pleasure.

Audio-In Port—an advanced feature that lets you quickly
connect your favorite digital MP3 player (or any portable audio
device) to play audio directly through the speakers.
Note: The speakers receive power from the monitor, even when the monitor
power is off. Your portable music player can be played through the speakers
without turning on your computer.
