Safety precautions
26. To eliminate a choking hazard for young children, remove and safely discard the
protective cover that is fitted to the power plug on the appliance.
27. Remove any packaging material and promotional stickers before using the appliance
for the first time.
28. Always ensure the appliance is properly assembled before use.
29. Never plug in or switch on the appliance without having the grill plate.
30. Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting
on or taking off parts, and before cleaning appliance.
31. Do not touch hot surface;
32. The use of accessory attachment not recommended may result in fire, electrical
shock, or risk of injury to persons.
33. Do not place on or near hot gas or electric burners, or in heated oven.
34. Extreme caution must be exercised when moving an appliance containing hot oil or
other hot liquids.
35. Warning: to reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, only authorized personnel should
do repairs.
36. Do not operate your appliance in garage or under a wall cabinet. Always unplug the
unit from the electrical outlet when storing. Not doing so could create a risk of fire.
Short cord instructions
A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the hazards resulting from becoming
entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
Longer extension cords are available and may be used if care is exercised in their use.
If an extension cord is used:
--The marked electrical rating of the extension cord should be at least as great as the
electrical rating of the appliance.
--The longer cord should be arranged so that it does not drape over the countertop or
tabletop where it can be pulled by children or tripped over unintentionally.
