Overview
Quidway® S6500 high-end multiservice switch can provide multiple 10G Ethernet
interface boards. The S6500 Salience III and Salience III Plus engines support GE and
XGbus dual bus system structure. This structure is compatible with all new and old service
boards. While protecting the investment of user, it can provide 48 1000M high-density
convergence for each board. The uplink and interconnection scheme of 10G Ethernet
helps implement the user service quickly. Now, the S6500 provides 1-port, 2-port and
4-port 10G Ethernet board, which are LS8M1TGX1C, LS8M1TGX2-XG and
LS8M1TGX4-XG respectively, meeting the 10G network construction requirement.
Main Characteristics
Flexible Configurations and Expandability
On S6502/ S6503/ S6506/ S6506R up to two, three, six and six 10 G interface boards can
be configured. The user selects ports of different port density as required and selects
optical modules according to the transmission distance. Where, 1-port 10 G Ethernet
interface board uses the optical interface module of XENPAK and 2-port and 4-port use
the XFP type, with the corresponding table shown below:
