Safety Precautions
Warning
[Precautions regarding Installation]
÷ When this product is used to mount the player on a rack, do not rest other objects on top of the player,
nor allow objects to rest against the player.
Caution
[Installation]
÷ When attaching the rack mount brackets to the player, be sure to use the supplied accessory screws.
Using other screws may result in damage to the player or personal injury.
÷ Inappropriate installation is very dangerous since it may result in the player tipping over or falling
down. Be sure that player is in a stable location and position when installing the rack mount brackets
to the player. Likewise be sure the rack is in a stable location when attaching the rack mount brackets
to the rack.
÷ Be sure to select a rack capable of supporting the player and the rack mounting brackets. The player's
weight is listed in its Operating Instructions.
÷ The location selected for the installation of the rack and its mounted player should be sufficiently
strong enough to support the weight of the rack and player, and be stable, level, and flat so that
weight is supported evenly on all sides.
÷ Do not install the rack outdoors, or near a hot springs or the ocean. The location selected for
installation should comply with the specifications for temperature and humidity noted in the player's
Operating Instructions.
÷ Do not install in locations subject to vibrations or impacts.
÷ This product has been designed in compliance with EIA ratings for exclusive use with the DVD-V8000
player. Do not attempt to use the product for other applications. Also, do not attempt to modify the
product or install in unreasonable conditions.
÷ Follow all installation procedures correctly, and tighten all designated screws properly, since loose
screws may result in falling, damage or other unexpected accidents.
÷ Installation of the player to the rack should performed by two or more people. Do not attempt
installation of the player with connection cables attached.
÷ During installation, turn off power to the player and disconnect the power cord from its outlet. To
protect data, be sure that no disc is loaded in the player before beginning work.
[Precautions After Installation]
÷ In the event that this product or its accessory screws are damaged, immediately stop using it; remove
the player from its rack and move it to a safe location.
÷ After mounting the player in the rack, never loosen any of its accessory installation screws, since the
player could fall or other accidents could occur.
÷ When transporting the player, always remove it from the rack and replace it in its original packaging
materials.
