3-2-3. Adjustment of VIDEO SUB HUE and
COLOR
1. Set the Color to 45.
2. Set "b = c" by means of CXA1839 SUB HUE so that the
level of TP5104 will be within the specification.
Set "a = d" by means of CXA1839 VIDEO COLOR
or YUV COLOR.
Adjust the tracking of the above two items.
3. Save the adjusted value.
Adjust NTSC, PAL, and Component, respectively.
Adjust PAL only by VIDEO COLOR.
Adjust the Component only by YUV COLOR.
4. Return the Color back to 50.
Specifications for VIDEO COLOR HUE adjustment:

3-3. γ · W/B ADJUSTMENT
Set ZOOM to the WIDE edge, and attach the W/B control
jig.
INPUT A: XCA FLAT FIELD
VIDEO: FLAT FIELD
<Condition>
1. Conduct Pre Aging for more than 5 minutes for the Set.
2. The lens should be at the WIDE edge.
3. Turn off OSD when measuring the chromaticity.
The input of RGB and that of VIDEO are common for
W/B MEMORY, and there are HIGH and LOW modes.
3-3-1. γ Adjustment
1. Graphic Mode Adjustment
1. Set the γ MODE to Graphics to enter the HIGH MODE.
2. Input XGA FLAT FIELD 100 IRE to INPUT A.
3. Set CONTRAST and BRIGHT to a maximum.
4. Measure the chromaticity (Xw and Yw) at that time.
5. Input green single-color XGA FLAT FIELD 100 IRE.
6. Measure the brightness Ygmax at that time.
7. Set CONTRAST to 80 and BRIGHT to 50 (RESET).
8. Input XGA green single-color FLAT FIELD 80 IRE to
INPUT A, and adjust CXA2111 G SBRT so that the
brightness Y80 will be within the specification.

9. Input XGA green single-color FLAT FIELD 30 IRE to
INPUT A, and adjust CXA2111 G GAIN so that the
brightness Y30 will be within the specification.
Brightness adjustment spec.
Y80 = Ygmax × 0.581 ± 4%
Y30 = Y80 × 0.116 ± 4%
The brightness is the average of five measured val-
ues.
10. Input XGA FLAT FIELD 80 IRE to INPUT A, and ad-
just the data of CXA2111 R SBRT and B SBRT so that
the chromaticity at that time (White) will be within the
specifications.
11. Input XGA FLAT FIELD 30 IRE to INPUT A, and ad-
just the data of CXA2111 R GAIN and B GAIN so that
the chromaticity at that time (White) will be within the
specifications.
12. Adjust the tracking until both 80 IRE and 30 IRE will be
within the specification.
<Specification>
80 IRE (Xw ± 0.007, Yw ± 0.010)
30 IRE (Xw ± 0.005, Yw ± 0.005)
2. Text Mode Adjustment
1. Set the γ MODE to the Text.
2. Process the value adjusted in "1. Graphics Mode Adjust-
ment" in the following manner and copy the value.
3. Save the adjusted value.
All colors (excl. SBRT)
CXA2111 SBRT:
Value adjusted in the Graphics Mode + 10 (Red)
Value adjusted in the Graphics Mode + 11 (Green)
Value adjusted in the Graphics Mode + 14 (Blue)
CXA2111 GAIN:
Value adjusted in the Graphics Mode – 38 (Red)
Value adjusted in the Graphics Mode – 30 (Green)
Value adjusted in the Graphics Mode – 67 (Blue)

3-3-2. W/B LOW MODE Adjustment

1. Input NTSC 10 STEP to VIDEO.
2. Enter the LOW MODE.
M52337 B GAIN:Value adjusted in the HIGH Mode + 3
M52337 R GAIN:Value adjusted in the HIGH Mode + 20
M52337 G BIAS: Value adjusted in the HIGH Mode – 2
M52337 R BIAS: Value adjusted in the HIGH Mode + 2
3. Save the adjusted value.
