1. TIMER Button - U se d to se t the T V /V C R to start
recording a t a pre se t tim e.
2. MENU Button - P re ss to display the O n-S cre e n
m enu function.
3. ENTER Button - P re ss to e nte r se le cte d se tup.
4. CANCEL Button - P re ss to ca nce l existing se tups or
to re store de fault va lue s.
5. MUTING Button - P re ss to turn off the sound. P ress
a ga in to turn the sound ba ck on.
6. CALL Button - D isplays the pre se nt tim e/day of the
we ek, cha nne l, counte r, spe e d se le ction (a nd V C R
m ode if V C R is playing) on the T V scre e n.
7. REW (Rewind) Button - In the S top m ode, this
button ra pidly winds the ta pe ba ckwa rds. In the P lay
m ode, this button activa te s reve rse se a rch.
8. REC Button - P re ss once toge the r with the P LAY
button to sta rt norm a l re cording. Additiona l pre sses
a ctiva te Instant T im e r R e cording.
9. POWER Button - P ress to turn the T V /V C R on.
P ress a ga in to turn the T V /V C R off.
10. COUNTER RESET Button - U sed to re se t the
counte r to 0 0 :0 0 :0 0.
11. RETURN Button - S witche s be twe en the pre sent

12. TV/CAP/TEXT Button - S witche s be twe e n C a ption,

13. INPUT Selector Button - S witche s the program for

14. SLEEP Button - S e ts the T V to turn off a utom atica lly
a fter up to 1 2 0 m inute s.

15. FF (Fast Forward) Button - In the S top m ode, this
button rapidly winds the ta pe forward. In the P lay
m ode, this button activates forward search.
16. PAUSE Button - D uring re cording, this button
tem porarily stops the tape. D uring playback, it stops
the tape and displays a still im age on the T V screen.
17. SP/EP Selector Button - S ets the tape speed for
recording.
18. SET + / – Buttons - U sed to select the option in the
m enu or set tim er recording, O N /O F F tim e r, channel
set, picture adjustm ent, auto repeat, clock and
language.
19. CHANNEL + / – Buttons - P ress the + button to
change to a higher numbered channel set into memory.
P ress the – button to change to a lower num bered
channel set into m em ory.
20. Digital AUTO TRACKING Buttons - Allows autom atic
or m anual adjustm ent of tracking to m inim ize picture
noise during playback.
21. STOP Button - P ress once to stop the tape.
22. PROGRAM Button - P ress to confirm the programmed
tim er recording and O N /O F F tim er.
23. ZERO RETURN Button - U se to stop the tape when
the counter reaches 0 0:00:00.
24. Direct Channel Selection Buttons (0-9) - Allows
dire ct access to any channel.
25. VOLUME + / – Buttons - P ress the + button to increase,
or the – button to decrease the volum e level.
26. PLAY Button - P ress to play a prerecorded tape.
