3.3 Power limiting via ELMS
6. Wait for charger booting to complete.
7. Ensure the ELMS is activated from the SCB (see section 3.1 for more details).
8. Activate the ELMS via the communication interface and ensure Control Word 1 – bit 0
(ELMS_LLA) is set to "true".
9. Activate No Trip from the ELMS via the communication interface and ensure control word 1
– bit 2 (ELMS_NoTRP_A) is set to "true".
10. Ensure emergency stop is not displayed on the HMI screen and that the "SafetyRelay" error-
flag in the configuration backend is not displayed as active ("False").
11. Activate the trip line from the ELMS end (not via the Modbus interface). The hardwired cable
line contact should change from the closed to the open position.
12. Ensure that control word 1 – bit 2 (ELMS_NoTRP_A) is changed from "true" to "false" from
ELMS to SICHARGE (via the Modbus interface) when the hardwired trip line is activated.
13.  Check the "SafetyRelay" is now active along with the description "ELMS tripped 3SK",
meaning that the safety loop is activated in the charger due to the ELMS.
14.  Deactivate the trip line from the ELMS – change both hardwired signal contacts and the
ELMS_NoTRP_A software signal.
15.  Wait for the time delay and check that the "SafetyRelay" error flag is no longer active.

Power limiting via ELMS

Carry out the following steps to test power limiting via ELMS:
1. Complete steps 1–10 from section 3.2.
2. Start charging at any outlet on SICHARGE.
3. Obtain the minimum value (G_Power_Min) and maximum value (G_Power_Max) for the
power limits supported by SICHARGE via the communication interface.
4. Obtain the current active power (kW) value consumed by SICHARGE from the power meter
at the ELMS end or through the communication interface signal G_APower_Actual.
5. Note that in the case of status sord – bit 14 (IMA) "false" or error word – bit 13 (IMES_NoEr)
"false", the consumed incomer power meter reading from SICHARGE to ELMS is not available
and not valid.
6. Set a power limit setpoint (G_PowerLimit) from the ELMS via the communication interface
that is lower than the actual SICHARGE incomer active power consumption.
7. Wait for a few seconds and observe whether SICHARGE is limiting the consumed active power
to at least less than or equal to the power limit setpoint (G_PowerLimit).
