This section descr ibes the machine ' s safety equipment,
its purpose, and how checks and maintenance should be
carried out to ensure that it operates correctly.
Carria ge lock
The carr iage lock is used for example when replacing the
drill bit and mounting the drill motor. The lock consists of
a knob that locks the carriage to the drill column.
Carria ge lock inspection
• Turn the knob to lock it.
• Feel by hand that the carriage is locked to the drill
column.

End stop on the rail

The end stop is to pre vent the carriage leaving the rails.
Chec king the end stop
• Make sure the end stop is in place.
