    First-time Operation NOTE PC Information Viewer This computer periodically records the management information including the hard disk information such as number of hours powered-on, number of times powered-on, internal temperature, replacement sector. The maximum data volume for each record is 750 byte. These information are only used for estimating the cause when the hard disk goes down by any possibility.

  • Page 20 Handling and Maintenance If You Spill Water on the Keyboard Note that repairs resulting from liquids being spilled on the computer are not free of charge, and not covered by war- ranty. The keyboard, touch pad, and palm rest on this computer incorporate a drain system (a moisture protection mechanism) that minimizes the amount of liquid reaching the inside of the computer even if water is spilled on the keyboard.

    Refer to various sources for recommended RAM module. If you will use Panasonic brand RAM module CF-BAW0512U, do not attach the included sponge to the RAM module when installing the RAM module into this computer. Even if listed as applicable to the “CF-Y5 Series” in the sponge operating instructions, it is not necessary.
