8.2 Gas preparation

Loss of explosion protection
Danger of explosion in hazardous areas if the device is open or not properly closed.
• Close the device as described in Chapter →Installing/mounting (Page 33).
Note
Ambient temperature
Ensure that the ambient temperature is within the permissible range during operation.
→ Technical specifications of field device (Page 73)
The technical data can deviate outside these temperature limits. Operability of the device is no
longer ensured at deviations of more than 5 K.
OXYMAT 7 pressure correction
The analyzer modules have an internal pressure sensor for correcting the effect of pressure on
the measured value.
In the case of OXYMAT 7, the pressure sensor is indirectly connected to the sample gas path via
the reference gas path and therefore always measures the current sample gas pressure.

Note
Gas preparation
The sample chamber may be contaminated if you do not prepare the gas sufficiently. This can
result in an unsteady measured value and/or a drift in the measured value.
• The sample gas/reference gas must be free of dust and condensation.
• Make sure that the sample gas does not condense in the device (e.g. by using an appropriate
sample gas line).
