Installation

Installing the joystick

 Screw the spring into the joystick
socket and tighten it by hand. While
doing so, hold the joystick socket in
place using an open-ended SW9
wrench. Do not turn the wrench.
 Screw the base of the joystick onto
the spring and tighten it by hand
while continuing to hold the socket in
place. Do not turn the wrench.
 Fit the lower part of the joystick onto
the base and gently secure in
position using the supplied screw and
a spring washer. Do not tighten the
screw yet.
 Turn the lower part until the 
symbol faces the front.

 Tighten the screw using a ¹/₈" (3 mm)
Allen key while holding the joystick
socket in place with the wrench. Do
not turn the wrench.

Joystick extension

If necessary, the joystick can also be
installed with an extension piece (Miele
DBV 100), which is available as an
optional accessory.
 Install the spring and joystick base as
described in the previous section.
 First screw the extension piece onto
the base with a spring washer. Hold
the socket in place with an open-
ended SW9 wrench. Do not turn the
wrench.
 Then, attach the lower part of the
joystick to the extension piece as
described in the previous section,
turn the  symbol to the front, and
tighten the screw.
