Configuring DCOM

Configuring DCOM
Between the client and the server computer, user authentication is required. In practice,
the same user account with the same password must exist both in the COM600 computer
and the 3rd party OPC Server computer. The OPC Server must be run within this user
account.
Run the OPC DA client in COM600 Computer within a preconfigured user account
named as COM600 (default factory password: aEc2006rs). It is recommended to create
the COM600 user in the server computer as well, and run the OPC server within this
user account.
If you want to change the default COM600 user's password,
you must do it with the management tool in SAB600, as the
password is configured in the DCOM configuration for each
component in COM600.
You must also configure the DCOM in both COM600 and server computer. Do this with
the DCOMCNFG program.
